Bega Valley Seed Savers
Who are the Bega Valley Seed Savers?
Since 2004 we have grown, saved, shared and sold local seeds and together we’ve built a terrific community seed resource through our gardens.
We are developing a community of self-reliant gardens to feed ourselves through home growing, community gardening and market gardening.
Our nourishing social connections across the region ensure that wider supporting structures are in place around us. We help kick start new seed saver groups.
Bega Valley Seed Savers’ aim is to expand our communities’ capacity to grow their own food through:
- Creating, maintaining and sharing resources;
- Engaging in community education; and
- Developing a network of knowledgeable contributors.
You are welcome to come, experience some of our exciting projects, to join our vibrant group and connect with other local food growers and help ensure our long term ability to grow and eat the most flavoursome and interesting vegetable varieties.
